Muriel Mondell Hinds is a devoted Christian, wife and mother with a lifelong passion for service and creativity. Born in Orange Hill, St. James, she attended St. Silas Girls' School and was raised in the Church of God, where her love for singing and poetry began. As a girl, she enjoyed cricket, hopscotch, and crafts, which led her to the basket and needlework industry as a teenager. After migrating to New York, she pursued nursing and worked faithfully in the field until retirement. Upon returning home, Muriel continued serving the church, singing in the choir, and holding leadership roles, including secretary and president of the WCG (formerly WMS) at Jackson and Speightstown. She also served as a coordinator for the northern zone and was a frequent speaker at church events and rallies. Her life reflects a deep commitment to faith, family and community.
